MYTHS BUSTER IS HERE: EXPOSING COMMON MYTHS ABOUT COVID'19 VACCINES.

During this pandemic, most of the people are excited to get vaccinated as they are facing & dealing with this breakthrough. Meanwhile, many rumors are spreading about the vaccination by unknown resources which affect the thinking of people & misguide them about the vaccines.

MYTH: The vaccines are unsafe because they were prepared rapidly.

FACT: A common gossip going around is that since it requires a very long time to set up a vaccine, the COVID-19 vaccine should be dangerous because it was made in less than a year. “Safety was not compromised in any way.

The COVID-19 vaccines are safe and have been endorsed by administrative authorities before being carried out. Millions have now been vaccinated and reports of serious side effects have been very rare.

The worldwide effect of this pandemic has made the pharmaceutical industry invest heavily in researching and producing COVID-19 vaccines. Several stages were conducted in parallel, thus shortening the general development timeline, No alternate route was taken.

MYTH: Will a COVID-19 vaccine changes my DNA?

FACT: It requires thousands of years of evolution for DNA to be changed. The COVID’19 vaccine utilizing mRNA technology provides your cells with directions on identifying the coronavirus & destroying it.

The vaccine doesn't change your DNA. It’s called an mRNA vaccine, which is a type of vaccine that makes your cells make an inert piece of virus that triggers an immune reaction. That immune reaction is what protects us from getting infected if the genuine COVID-19 virus enters our bodies.

The COVID-19 vaccines are intended to help your body’s resistant system fight the coronavirus. The messenger RNA from two of the first types of COVID-19 vaccines does enter cells, yet not the nucleus of the cells where DNA resides.

MYTH: Could I sick with COVID’19 after getting a COVID’19 vaccine?

FACT: Any authorized and recommended COVID-19 vaccines don’t contain the SARS-Co-2 virus that causes COVID-19. This means that a COVID-19 vaccine cannot make you sick with COVID-19.

MYTH: If I had been affected by COVID’19, then I don’t need to receive the vaccine.

FACT:  If you have already had COVID-19, there’s evidence that you can still benefit from the vaccine.

It’s not clear how long a natural infection with COVID-19 provides immunity from the disease.

Most authorities advise even people who have had COVID-19 infection to be vaccinated, although you may be advised to wait for at least 90 days after your infection.

MYTH: I’ll get the first round of vaccines, but I won’t need the second.

FACT: Some infections and few microbes that we vaccinate against and one dose of the vaccine simply doesn't give full immunity to prevent disease. Preparing your immune system with the first dose permits it to respond to it once, make some memory, and then when you get presented to it a second time through the second vaccination, it truly develops that full, long-term memory.

MYTH: If I administered the COVID’19 vaccine, I don’t have to wear masks or practice social distancing.

FACT: Everyone absolutely must wear masks and practicing social distancing after getting the COVID’19 vaccine because no vaccine is 100% effective. These vaccines are 95% effective, which is an ultimate high percentage, but that means there will still be a 5% chance of getting ill.

MYTH: Can the COVID-19 vaccine affect my menstrual cycle?

FACT: Women/Girls don’t need to plan their COVID-19 vaccine around their menstrual cycle. There are no issues with getting the vaccine during your period.

The immune system isn’t sufficiently affected by either the COVID-19 vaccine or the menstrual cycle, so planning around them is not required. Postponing vaccination around your cycle may just leave you unprotected from COVID-19 for a longer time without providing any known advantage.

MYTH: Can the COVID'19 vaccine cause infertility?

FACT: Claims recommends that the antibodies to the spike protein of COVID'19, delivered by the vaccine, may bind to placenta proteins and cause infertility.

But the truth is, there’s no information or proof that the COVID'19 vaccines cause infertility in women or men.

MYTH: COVID'19 vaccines are not working against the new variants.

FACT: Experts are watching this very carefully. If a change in vaccine needs to be made, the vaccines can be immediately adapted to new strains, likewise, those flu vaccines are adjusted each year.

It is important to be vaccinated as soon as possible when the vaccine is offered to you and continue to practice preventive measures to break the chain of infection.

Why misconceptions are dangerous?

If people begin to believe COVID myths, then they will not take the right action at the right time. If they test positive, instead of seeking a doctor’s advice or opting for hospitalization, they may want to try medicines or methods that can’t actually cure them. Valuable time will be wasted and lives could be lost.

Draw your information and knowledge from reputed sources. If you receive random COVID information in the form of messages from unverifiable sources, do not share or forward without confirming the news first. We all have to play a proactive part in preventing this menace.

Could a blend of COVID’19 vaccines be safe?

India doesn’t have enough Covid’19 vaccine doses to vaccinate the whole country. There are insufficient vaccines to distribute within cities, across the nation, and across age groups. The deficiency of Covid’19 vaccine doses have left many wondering whether they can mix and match two different vaccines - Covishield and Covaxin in India. As the Covid’19 cases high and people race to vaccination the center’s to get their dosage, another report has called for ensuring caution stating that people who got blinded doses of the Covid’19 vaccine appear to be more likely to experience gentle or serious reaction. These impacts could go from fever, chills to migraines. As countries face a deficiency of the Covid ’19 vaccine because of unexpected pressure on companies to increase production, people are mixing  v accines dependent on their availabilit y getting an alternate vaccine as a second dose than the first one.   EXPERT OPINION Dr. Faheem Younus's post on his Twitte

COULD MUCORMYCOSIS IS MORE DEADLY THAN COVID’19

Introduction In India, patients who have recovered from COVID’19 are progressively being identified with Mucormycosis or black fungus. This is an uncommon fungal infection caused by a group of fungi called mucormycetes, generally found in the environment. Though this condition is uncommon and attacks people with compromised immune systems, not treating it in time can be potentially life-threatening. This is why recovering COVID'19 patients  have been falling prey to this fungal infection. COVID-19 patients with uncontrolled diabetes and lower immune systems are especially at a higher danger of developing this condition. What is a Fungus? These are organic entities separate from the plants and animal kingdoms. They are everywhere in nature and are found in dirt, plants, decaying organic matter, water, air, damp places, and also in people and creatures. They play a vital part in our biological system along with bacteria, by degrading organic matter into simpler forms for the

During this breakthrough: Why Immunization is necessary.

What is Immunization (vaccination)? Immunization is a basic, safe, and powerful method of securing individuals against harmful illnesses before they come into contact with them. It uses your body’s natural defences to make resistance to specific infections and makes your immune system stronger. Immunizations train your immune system to make antibodies, similarly to when it's presented to an illness. However, because Immunizations contain only killed or weakened forms of germs like viruses or microorganisms, they don't cause the sickness or put you in danger of its difficulties. Most Immunizations are given by an infusion, yet some are given orally (by mouth) or sprayed into the nose. What are the advantages of getting vaccinated? The improved immunity because of the Immunization will effectively decrease life-threatening problems caused by the novel coronavirus and also deduct the number of hospitalizations. If one is adequately protected against the virus, one can
